4Th Quarter 2025 Update

A new update, 12.54.10, was published on 9/29/2025 and should auto upload to your computer.

This update includes a lot of additions plus a new core engine.  Here are a few things you may notice

1). Some shops use forms for their invoices.  If you were to send a copy of the invoice in an email ( PDF generated by the program ), it would not show any of the pre-printed info, and especially your company information.  However, now on the print menu, there is a checkbox to include your company info.  Your default choice will be active ( and for most that means the box is checked ), but before printing you have the option to check, or uncheck, the box for that print job only.

2). Per a request, a new option has been added under the vehicle reports to output a client / vehicle list to an Excel format.

3). We updated our email system to include support for the new requirements with both Gmail and Outlook programs.

If you put in a request for a new feature it will likely be implemented in this release.

Looking to the future, we have some new features being worked on.  These include abilities to output to Word and Excel files, even if you do not have these programs.  We could also increase text capabilities but have not heard if people are using the existing features.

Finally we should share some thoughts on AI.  Everywhere you look, people are claiming their system uses AI to increase performance.  In ASW, we added AI buttons to allow you to ask it questions, and get responses.  Have you been using them ?  Have you found AI beneficial ?  From our own observations, and in discussions with other technology people, AI shows promise but is still far too immature.  It has “a lot of learning to do”.  We’ve found consistent errors, and a often a lack of information, or access to current data.  In fact, we have found that when asked a question, and the AI system gives a wrong answer, if you tell it the right one it immediately agrees with you.  So … the point is, we will strive to make AI more closely integrated into ASW in productive ways when we know it can actually be productive and accurate.

When the salespeople come knocking, ask for the proof.  It has long been a standard among sales reps in this industry to make bold, misleading, or very inaccurate, claims.  For the past 43 years we have witnessed this, and when we’ve confronted some of them, they claim it’s just salesmanship.  Nope …

We hope all is going well.  Please let us know right away if you encounter any problems.
