The 2017 Federal Payroll Tax Tables have been uploaded to your system.  Here is what you need to do to use them when processing payroll.

1)  The files are in the MLS subfolder of your data directory on the server.  If you are still on ASW 9, that main folder is \ASW9s, and if you are on ASW 10, it is \ASW10s 

2a) If you are using ASW 9, go to \ASW9s\MLS and find APAFTT.dbf.  It will have a date of 1/4/17.  Right click the mouse and select Copy from the menu.  Then highlight the main ASW9s folder, right click the mouse, and select Paste.

2b)  If you are using ASW 10, go to \ASW10s\MLS and find APAFTT.dbf.  It will have a date of 1/4/17.  Right click the mouse and select Copy from the menu.  Then highlight the DATA folder under the ASW10s mainfolder, right click the mouse and select Paste.

3)  Go into ASW, and under Tools select Index.  Then select Employee only, and reindex.

You are now ready to process payroll for 2017.  Remember to update your State tables ( manually ) and the Standard Deductions based on the government amounts in the latest publications.

This update includes adjustments for ASW 9 as requested by clients.

Please remember that feature updates are placed in ASW 10, which is a FREE upgrade to all DPP subscribers.  However, we must do an install of that on your computers.  Please contact us to arrange a time for us to transition you to the new version.

VIN DECODER:

We have uploaded the latest VIN decoding files to your \ASW9s\MLS folder on your server.  The files are EVECFX.dbf and EVECFX.cdx.  With everyone out of ASW, you will want to use the Windows Explorer to go to that file, and highlight both files.  Click on the right mouse button.  Then select Copy.  Next, highlight the ASW9s main folder, right click, and select Paste.  Answer Yes to overwriting the file, then it will copy both files.  You will then have the latest VIN data effective 12/10/2016.
